I Love You

This is unbelievable and I can't even comprehend that I get to say this:

The Uprising is almost a year old!

How about you? Can you believe it? It seems like forever ago that I sat down at my computer one day in total frustration with myself and the world and thought, "Well, maybe I'll write about it." To Blogger I went, created a profile, and clicked that ominous button..."START BLOGGING" Whoa....okay. I guess I'll start?

I guess you'll start, really. Because never have more people in my life spoken about food, food's effects, food's addictive qualities, food's beautiful qualities, than before I started this whole adventure. Never have so many lovely folks said things to me like, "You know, I never really realized this, but I'm totally scarfing my food down...I, like, totally don't even think about it!" Me too, I would say. Sometimes that happens and it sucks. I wonder how many others are struggling with that too?

And so, The Uprising's one year anniversary is upon us! We're going to celebrate in big big style! First, there will be a few changes to the site itself, starting with a much simpler comment function (no more need to sign in with that silly GoogleID or whatever...sorry about that, really...I know that's annoying), and continuing on with better pictures, better recipe indexing, and possibly a whole new platform (that is, if someone wouldn't mind unscrambling my current site and getting paid for your efforts in love and cupcakes and a fistful of one-dollar-bills). Secondly, and this one's even MORE cool, I'm throwing a giant Indian wedding shower bash for my fabulous friend Alli and her cohort of fabulous ladies! It's an epic project with epic implications, and it's comin' at ya on May 29th. Just you wait and SEE!

It's been a good year, guys. And I'd just like to take this opportunity to say, I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU. Serious. I think the sun shines out your ass. The fact that I even get to talk to you...well, it kinda makes my heart go pitterpatter.

Are you just the coolest person ever? Shyeah. I think so.
